About this Event
DEIW 2025 is a week-long series of virtual sessions, workshops, and micro-learning events to raise campus awareness and improve digital access and inclusion for all.
This workshop aims to equip UMass faculty with practical skills to create accessible documents—an essential aspect of inclusive course design. Faculty participants will learn step-by-step techniques to ensure their Word documents, PDFs, and PowerPoint presentations are ADA-compliant and user-friendly for all learners. A detailed checklist will guide them during a hands-on activity, enabling immediate improvements to their course materials. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies, resources for ongoing accessibility improvements, and information about the AccessibleU course for deeper learning.
This free event is intended for a faculty audience, but it is open to all UMass Amherst students, faculty, and staff.
