Adoption across the life course
The Rudd Adoption Research Program will be hosting a multi-date webinar series titled Adoption Across the Life Course: The Needs and Experiences of Adult Adoptees in the USA and UK. The webinars will feature five recent research studies from both the US and the UK. These will focus on different aspects of life for adopted people as adults (neurodiversity; becoming a parent; adoption consciousness; mental health; use of social media) as well as messages for the policy and practice. Each session will include adult adoptees speaking about their lived experiences.
The webinar series is of special interest to those who have lived adoption experience, Social Workers, Counselors, Policy Makers, Researchers, Students, and professionals working in the adoption field.
Featured speakers are Dr. Mark Kennedy (Kings College London, February 3rd), Dr. Elsbeth Neil (University of Massachusetts, March 5th), Dr. Jae-Ran Kim (University of Washington, March 24th), Dr. Hollee McGinnis (University of Massachusetts, April 9th), Dr. Amanda Baden (Montclair State University, May 5th)

About the Rudd Adoption Research Program:
The Rudd Adoption Research Program in the Department of Psychology and Brain Sciences (University of Massachusetts, Amherst) seeks to develop synergy among researchers, practitioners, people with lived experience and policymakers from varied disciplines who share interests relevant to adoption. The ultimate goals of the program are to contribute to evidence-based practice in adoption and to provide research-based information that will influence policy at agency, state, federal, and international levels.
