Join us April 10th from 5-6:30 for the opening of A Landscape Legacy, an art exhibition featuring archival photographs curated by Michael Amato, PhD student in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning and original works by Frank Waugh, including etchings of our campus landscape, curated by Professor Emerita Annaliese Bischoff, author of The Man Who Loved Trees.

This exhibit examines the legacy of trees on our campus. It celebrates the Waugh Arboretum, named for Frank A. Waugh, founder of Massachusetts Agricultural College’s Landscape Gardening Program in 1903, a program that grew to become UMass Amherst’s Department of Landscape Architecture & Regional Planning.

The exhibit runs from Tuesday, March 25th- Wednesday, April 30th, 2025. Gallery hours are 9-4, M-F.
