All donations collected are organized, cleaned, and tested throughout the summer months by our New2U Student Intern Team and then sold at the New2U Move-In Tag Sale on Saturday, September 5. Items that are not sold are kept for the thrift store or donated to local organizations. Broken items are recycled (rigid plastic, wood, metal, and electronics). Foam mattress toppers and textiles are diverted to external recycling vendor partners.
Did you know?! You can donate your clothing, linens, and shoes on campus throughout the academic year and summer to the Bay State Textiles boxes, located outside Brooks Hall in the Central Residential Area and Hampden Dining Commons in the Southwest Residential Area.
