The Office of the Provost and the Office of Equity and Inclusion are offering STRIDE (Strategies and Tactics for Recruiting to Improve Diversity and Excellence) Workshops for librarians, tenure-track faculty, and non-tenure-track faculty involved in faculty recruitment.

Join a STRIDE Workshop for an interactive small-group discussion focused on recognizing and addressing implicit biases in the faculty recruitment process. During this two-hour, faculty-led session, participants will explore research-driven best practices for recruiting a diverse candidate pool and conducting effective searches. This includes strategies for attracting strong applicants, developing a robust shortlist, managing candidate visits, and selecting the best candidates. Register today!

Completion of the STRIDE Workshop is mandatory for all faculty and librarians who plan to serve on a search committee. Access to candidate files will only be granted after this training is completed.
