STRIPE (Strategies and Tactics for Retention through Inclusive Promotion Evaluation) Training Workshops are available for members of college, school, and department personnel committees.

Attend a STRIPE Training Workshop for an engaging small-group discussion aimed at minimizing bias in the faculty evaluation and promotion process. This workshop builds on the STRIDE Faculty Recruitment Workshop, which addresses bias during recruitment. In this two-hour session, participants will learn strategies and best practices to reduce inequities, effectively tackle unconscious bias, and promote inclusivity in faculty promotion and tenure cases.

The STRIPE Training program is offered by the Office of the Provost's Faculty Diversity unit, in collaboration with UMass ADVANCE, and in consultation with the Office of Faculty Development and the Academic Personnel Office.
