The Diasporic Rice Festival: A Celebration of Food, Culture, and Anthropology
Friday, April 10, 2026 4:30pm to 8pm
About this Event
1 Campus Center Way, Amherst, Massachusetts 01003
This event is an intercultural celebration that explores how a single ingredient, rice, connects communities across African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin, and North American diasporas. Through food, storytelling, a keynote talk, and dialogue, the festival creates space for cultural exchange and reflection on broader themes such as food justice, sustainability, and identity.
