DESCRIPTION:The Translated Book Club promotes the reading of literature tra
 nslated into English and recognizes and supports translators and their pub
 lishers. Each meeting is hosted at UMass Downtown by a UMass Amherst facul
 ty member or graduate student and designed for readers of diverse backgrou
 nds with no specific language requirement other than English.\n\n \n\nSpon
 sored by the Gentzler Translation Center\, the club is free and open to co
 mmunity members from high school students to retirees\, with a maximum of 
 15 readers per meeting.\n\n \n\nAdvanced sign-up is required at https://ww
 w.umass.edu/downtown/news-events. The first eight readers to sign up for e
